Sermon note

Pastor Stephanie

Our Father’s heart want us to be happy.

Step by step, the Lord opens our heart to see that He is a good good Father. We walk nearer and nearer to Him

Our God is not waiting to punish us

We go nearer to our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ

Go to God our Father and everyone knows the beautiful relationship with our Father

Bring our relationship to the Father

God watches us like reflection in His eyes

Zechariah 2:1-5 (MSG)

1-5 I looked up and was surprised to see

a man holding a tape measure in his hand.

I said, “What are you up to?”

“I’m on my way,” he said, “to survey Jerusalem,

to measure its width and length.”

Just then the Messenger-Angel on his way out

met another angel coming in and said,

“Run! Tell the Surveyor, ‘Jerusalem will burst its walls—

bursting with people, bursting with animals.

And I’ll be right there with her’—GOD’s Decree—‘a wall of fire

around unwalled Jerusalem and a radiant presence within.’”

*

We cannot count God’s blessing pour over us

Zechariah 2:5 TPT

So, I, YAHWEH, will be a protective wall of fire surrounding her and a radiant glory within her.

Zech 2:6-7 MSG

“Up on your feet! Get out of there—and now!” God says so.

    “Return from your far exile.

I scattered you to the four winds.” God’s Decree.

Zech 2:8 TPT

For YAHWEH, Commander of Angel Armies, sent me after glory. And he warns the nations who plundered you: “Whoever touches you, my precious ones, touches the apple of my eye.

2:8 See Deut. 32:10; Ps. 17:8.

The Hebrew phrase ishon ayin refers to the pupil or dark part of the eye. However, etymologists see ishon as a diminutive form of "man" (ish),

which could then be

translated "the Little Man of

the Eye." Or using

anthropomorphistic language, when God looks at his people, they become the reflection of his

Deut 32:10-14 MSG

He found him out in the wilderness,

    in an empty, windswept wasteland.

He threw his arms around him, lavished attention on him,

guarding him as the apple of his eye.

He was like an eagle hovering over its nest,

    overshadowing its young,

Then spreading its wings, lifting them into the air,

    teaching them to fly.

God alone led him;

there was not a foreign god in sight.

God lifted him onto the hilltops,

so he could feast on the crops in the fields.

He fed him honey from the rock,

    oil from granite crags,

Curds of cattle and the milk of sheep,

the choice cuts of lambs and goats,

Fine Bashan rams, high-quality wheat,

BDB Definition:

PUPIL of the eye

middle of the night (that is the deepest blackness)

Strong's Definition: Diminutive from H376; the little man of the eye; the pupil or ball; hence the middle (of night): - apple [of the eye], black, obscure.

From a Jewish Rabbi-

"In the Sumerian language I found a form of ISHON which has the idea of something that is so precious it is surrounded or protected.

This could easily be used for the pupil of the eye which is surrounded by the white part of the eye, eye eye brows, and skull to protect the pupil the part that lets in the light to see."

The pupil of the eye is the black opening located at the center of the iris, which is the colored part of the eye.

It controls the amount of light entering the eye by changing size in response to light intensity.

"In the desert it is quickly understood that dust blown into the white part of the eye is far more endurable than dust blown onto the pupil.

Dust and sand in the eyes was a common affliction and everyone understood if the pupil (we know it is the cornea that covers the pupil) is damaged one cannot see.

When we are blind we cannot see

It is a horrible place

Jesus ministry is to open blind eyes

To see Jesus

To understand the love of the Father

Who is God and why are we on this earth

God so love the world

Each one of us

See clearly where the Lord is bringing us

Cataracts were as common then as today only without modern surgery.

In those days they matured to the point where the black pupil was covered with white or grey and all know if one had white eyes with no black pupil he was blind.

The word daughter was added because the daughter was very precious to the father, not that the son wasn't but the son was supposed to become a man, a warrior and fighter, one who protected his family.

We are so precious to God

The daughter was equally precious to the father but needed far more protection that the son.

Someone harms a man's son he will encourage that son to stand up and fight back.

Someone touches a man's daughter, well look out buddy that was one bad move you deal with papa.

Another possible interpretation is that David is saying that like the pupil is the gateway to man's soul,

• a daughter is the gateway to a man's heart so he wishes to be protected as the gateway to God's heart.

Just as in many gangster movies where a young man takes a mafia chief's daughter on a date and is warned by that tough, cruel, heartless gangster father:

"You harm'a my daughter, I break 'a you legs."

So if you are the apple of someone's eye you automatically know you are very precious to that person.

God wants to tell us we are precious to Him

Psalms 105:15 ICB

He said, “Don’t hurt my chosen people.

NUMBERS 12:1-2 EASY

Moses had married a woman who was a descendant of Cush.

Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because he had married that woman.

They said, 'We do not believe that the Lord has really spoken only by Moses.

We believe that he has spoken by us too?

The LORD HEARD what they said.

NUMBERS 12:3 AMP

(Now the man Moses was very humble (gentle, kind, devoid of self-righteousness),

• More than any man who was on the face of the earth.)

(Whole world)

It is His beloved. One person to God is His beloved

NUMBERS 12:4 EASY

Immediately, the Lord said to MOSES, AARON and MIRIAM,

'You three people come out to the Tent of Meeting'

So the three people went there.

NUMBERS 12:5 EASY

Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud.

He stood at the door of the tent.

He said that AARON and MIRIAM should come nearer.

They both came nearer.

NUMBERS 12:6-7 EASY

Then he said, 'Listen to my words!

If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, will show myself to him in a vision.

Or I will speak to him in a dream.

But it is different when I speak to Moses.

He is the one that I TRUST to lead all my people.

God’s appointed leaders, He will take care of them

NUMBERS 12:8 EASY

I speak clearly to him, as I come near to him.

I do not say things to him that are hard to understand.

He even sees the shape of the Lord.

So you should have been afraid to speak against my servant

Moses!'

Leading people to God and not to themselves

Do not take what belongs to God

Give the glory back to God

We point people to Christ

We hear from God what to do

NUMBERS 12:10 EASY

But when the cloud had gone away from over the tent, Miriam's skin became white, like snoW.

She now had the bad disease called leprosy in her skin.

leprosy.

Aaron looked at her and he saw that she had

leprosy

We don’t have to revenge as children of God

Anyone comes against you, He will take care

This is how much God treasure us.

Bless your enemy.

Take your hands off, let Me deal with him

MATTHEW 18:1 TPT

At that time the disciples came to ask Jesus,

"Who is considered to be the greatest in heaven's kingdom realm?"

MATTHEW 18:2-3 TPT

Jesus called a LITTLE ONE to his side and said to them,

"Learn this well:

Unless you dramatically change your way of thinking and become TEACHABLE like a LITTLE CHILD, you will never be able to enter in.

A person who is teachable is humble like a little child

MATTHEW 18:4 TPT

Whoever CONTINUALLY HUMBLES himself to become LIKE this little child is the greatest one in heaven's kingdom realm.

18:4 This means "to

see yourself as unimportant in your own eyes."

MATTHEW 19:13-14 TPT

Then they brought little children to Jesus so that he would lay his hands on them, bless them, and pray for them.

But the disciples scolded those who brought the children, saying, "Don't bother him with this now!" Jesus OVERHEARD them and said, " want little children to come to me, so never interfere with them when they want to come, for heaven's kingdom realm is composed of beloved ones like these!

Listen to this truth:

No one will enter the kingdom realm of heaven unless he becomes like one of these!"

JOHN 17:23 NKJV

I in them, and You in Me; that

  • they may be made perfect in ONE, and that

  • the world may know that You have sent Me, and

  • have LOVED THEM AS YOU HAVE LOVED

17:23 The

Aramaic is "shrink into one." When

we see Jesus in

one another, our vaulted opinions of ourselves will

shrink.

PSALMS 17:8 TPT

PROTECT us from harm;

KEEP an EYE on us as

  • you would CHILDREN

  • who are REFLECTED in the twinkling of YOUR EYE.

Yes, HIDE us within the shelter of your EMBRACE, under your

OUTSTRETCHED WINGS

PSALMS 33:18-19 CEB

But look here: the LORD's EYES WATCH

  • all who honor him,

  • all who wait for his faithful love,

to deliver their lives from death and keep them alive during a famine.

LET US COME TO JESUS LIKE LITTLE CHILDREN BUT NOT CHILDISH.

HE WATCHES OVER US LIKE

REFLECTIONS OF HIS EYE

Christ in you, the hope of glory

We are the daughters of the King

Little children means i just trust you Lord
