JESUS, MY STRENGTH TO BUD, BLOSSOM AND PRODUCE FRUITS WITH RESILIENCE

NUMBERS 17:1-2 NKJV

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

“Speak to the children of Israel, and get from them a rod from each father’s house, all their leaders according to their fathers’ houses—twelve RODS.

Write each man’s name on his rod.

NUMBERS 17:3 NKJV

And you shall write Aaron’s name on the ROD of LEVI.

For there shall be one rod for the head of each father’s house.

NUMBERS 17:4 NKJV

Then you shall place them in the tabernacle of meeting before the Testimony, where I meet with you.

NUMBERS 17:5 NKJV

And it shall be that the rod of the man whom I CHOOSE will BLOSSOM (BEGIN to GROW); thus I will rid Myself of the complaints of the children of Israel, which they make against you.”

NUMBERS 17:6 NKJV

So Moses spoke to the children of Israel, and each of their leaders gave him a rod apiece, for each leader according to their fathers’ houses, twelve rods; and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.

NUMBERS 17:7 NKJV

And Moses placed the rods before the Lord in the tabernacle of witness.

NUMBERS 17:8 NKJV

Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses went into the tabernacle of witness, and behold, the rod of Aaron, of the house of Levi, had sprouted (begun to grow) and put forth buds, had produced blossoms and yielded ripe almonds.

HEBREWS 9:4 TPT

It contained the golden altar of incense and the ark of covenant mercy, which was a wooden box covered entirely with gold.

And placed inside the ark of covenant mercy was the golden jar with mystery-manna inside, Aaron’s RESURRECTION ROD, which had sprouted, and the stone tablets engraved with the covenant laws.

When we visualize this scene, we imagine their astonished faces.

IN ONE NIGHT, Aaron’s ROD not only spouted but also put forth buds.

His rod not only put forth buds but also blossomed.

Aaron’s rod not only blossomed, but also bore almonds.

Not just almonds, but ripe almonds!

GOD SPOKE and PROVIDED a MIRACLE of NEW LIFE from a dead piece of wood.

GOD FULFILLED HIS WORD.

The Lord confirmed Moses’ leadership and Aaron’s appointment as high priest for all to see.

Aaron’s Rod Foreshadows Christ in powerful ways.

Scripture refers to Jesus as a rod and branch.

PSALMS 110:2-3 NKJV

The Lord shall send the ROD of Your strength out of Zion.

Rule in the midst of Your enemies!

When you go to war, your people will serve you willingly.

You are arrayed in holy garments, and your strength will be renewed each day like the morning dew.

The ROD represents STRENGTH and AUTHORITY,

as a Shepherd uses his rod to lead and correct his flock.

ISAIAH 11:1 TPT

The cut-off stump of Jesse will SPROUT, and a FRUITFUL BRANCH will GROW from his roots:

GALATIANS 5:22-23 TPT

But the fruit produced by the HOLY SPIRIT within you is

• divine love in all its varied expressions:

• joy that overflows,

• peace that subdues,

• patience that endures,

• kindness in action,

• a life full of virtue,

• faith that prevails,

• gentleness of heart, and

• strength of spirit.

Never set the law above these qualities,

for they are meant to be limitless.

GALATIANS 5:24 TPT

Keep in mind that we who belong to Jesus Christ

• HAVE ALREADY experienced crucifixion.

For everything connected with our self-life was put to death on the cross and crucified with Messiah.

GALATIANS 5:25-26 TPT

If the Spirit is the SOURCE of our life,

• we must also ALLOW the Spirit to direct EVERY aspect of our lives.

So may we never be arrogant, or look down on another, for each of us is an original.

We must forsake all jealousy that diminishes the value of others.

ISAIAH 11:2 TPT

the Spirit of Yahweh will rest upon him,

the Spirit of Extraordinary Wisdom,

the Spirit of Perfect Understanding,

the Spirit of Wise Strategy,

the Spirit of Mighty Power,

the Spirit of Revelation,

and the Spirit of the Fear of Yahweh.

ISAIAH 11:3 TPT

He will find his DELIGHT in living by the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord.

He will neither judge by appearances nor make his decisions based on rumors.

ISAIAH 11:4 TPT

With righteousness he will uphold justice for the poor and defend the lowly of the earth.

His words will be like a scepter of power that conquers the world, and with his breath he will slay the lawless one.

ISAIAH 11:5 TPT

Righteousness will be his warrior’s sash and faithfulness his belt.

Aaron’s rod also points toward Christ’s resurrection from the dead.

Jesus hung on wooden posts for our sins and three days later arose from the dead.

Through His sacrifice, He brought new life to those who believe.

Not just life, but eternal life!

Additionally, Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection yielded fruit for God’s kingdom.

Fruit that is still producing a harvest today, as the indwelling Spirit grows believers into Christ’s image.

Almond Meaning In The Bible:

Symbol Of Awakening

In the Bible, almonds symbolize divine watchfulness, authority, and renewal.

The Hebrew word ‘shaqed’ (almond) is linked to ‘shaqad,’ meaning to watch.

This connection is highlighted in Jeremiah 1:11-12, where an almond branch   branch signifies God’s vigilance over His word.

JEREMIAH 1:11 TPT

Yahweh spoke to me again:

“What do you see, Jeremiah?”

I replied: “I see an almond branch.”

JEREMIAH 1:12 TPT

“You have seen the vision correctly,” Yahweh said.

“Now know this: I constantly WATCH over MY WORD to FULFILL IT.”

The blossoming of almond branches, as seen in Aaron’s rod, underscores DIVINE SELECTION and LEADERSHIP.

The blossoming of almond branches, as seen in Aaron’s rod, underscores DIVINE SELECTION and LEADERSHIP.

Almonds also play a role in Jewish rituals, symbolizing RESILIENCE and NEW BEGINNINGS IN GOD's DIVINE FAVOR.

The almond blossom branch is a symbol of new life and rebirth,

often associated with the arrival of

spring.

The miraculous nature of the rod's transformation points to  SUPERNATURAL work of GOD in establishing His covenant and priesthood.

What “rod” has God placed in your hands?

Does it seem too small or insignificant?

May we release it to the Lord and use whatever He has given us for His glory.

God can take anything, even an old piece of dead wood, and bring new life.

There is nothing too difficult for Him!

He is mighty to save!

Wake up, Grow up, Bud, Blossom, Mature and Produce fruits unto Jesus with resilience!
