SOWING AND REAPING FROM GOD'S ABUNDANCE - [Sermon Note]

Seed:

1. Word of God

2. Finances (money)

DEUTERONOMY 31:1‭-‬3 NKJV

Then Moses went and spoke these words to all Israel.

And he SAID to them: “I am one hundred and twenty years old today.

I can no longer go out and come in.

Also the Lord HAS SAID to me, ‘You shall not cross over this Jordan.’

THE LORD YOUR GOD HIMSELF crosses over BEFORE YOU; He will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess them.

JOSHUA himself crosses over BEFORE you, just as THE LORD has SAID.

DEUTERONOMY 31:4‭-5 NKJV

And THE LORD will do to them as He did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites and their land, when He destroyed them.

THE LORD will give them over to you, that you may do to them according to every commandment which I have commanded you.

There is still a Devil although his time is limited.

This world is on leasehold. He took over the authority from Adam.

Jesus came and redeemed us from the rulership of Satan.

We are spirit, soul and body.

In the spirit, it is finished but the problem comes from the mind.

Devil still can cause sickness, put lies and half-truths in our mind.

DEUTERONOMY 31:6-8 NKJV

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for THE LORD YOUR God, HE is the ONE who GOES WITH YOU.

HE will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Then Moses CALLED Joshua and SAID to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and of good courage, for you must go with this people to the land which the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall cause them to inherit it.

The Lord Your God = Israel’s God

Enemies come to us one way, it shall flee seven ways.

And the LORD, HE is the ONE who GOES BEFORE YOU. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”

The Lord goes before us into the promised land.

ACTS 2:25-26 AMP

For David says of Him, ‘I SAW the LORD constantly BEFORE me;

For HE is at my right hand, so that I WILL NOT BE SHAKEN [from my state of security].

THEREFORE my HEART rejoiced and my TONGUE exulted exceedingly; Moreover my FLESH also will LIVE in HOPE [that is, will encamp in anticipation of the resurrection];

1 CHRONICLES 29:14 EASY

But I and my people are like nothing.

HOW ARE WE ABLE to GIVE all these gifts to help your work?

EVERYTHING that WE HAVE COMES FROM YOU.

So we are GIVING BACK to YOU THINGS that ALREADY BELONG to YOU.

Bread comes from seed and it comes from God.

Seed comes from God only. That’s why we give thanks.

Tithing is not giving. It’s giving back the 10% that belongs to God.

1 CHRONICLES 29:15 EASY

We are like strangers and foreign people who live in your world.

Our ancestors also lived in that way.

We live here only for a short time and then we disappear, like a shadow.

We know that we will die one day.

1 CHRONICLES 29:16 EASY

LORD, OUR GOD, we have given these things to build a temple for you, to give honour to your holy name.

But all these VALUABLE things COME FROM YOU.

THEY ALREADY BELONG to YOU.

2 CORINTHIANS 9:6 TPT

Here’s my point.

A STINGY SOWER will REAP a MEAGER HARVEST,

but the one who SOWS from a GENEROUS SPIRIT will REAP an ABUNDANT HARVEST.

Seed time and harvest.

2 CORINTHIANS 9:7 TPT

Let giving flow from your HEART, not from a sense of religious duty.

Let it SPRING UP FREELY from the JOY of GIVING —all because God loves hilarious generosity!

Sow spiritually and reap material things.

Giving comes from our born again heart.

2 CORINTHIANS 9:8 TPT

YES , GOD is MORE than READY to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have MORE than ENOUGH of EVERYTHING —

EVERY MOMENT and in EVERY WAY.

HE will MAKE you OVERFLOW with ABUNDANCE in EVERY GOOD THING you DO.

2 CORINTHIANS 9:9-11 TPT

Just as the Scriptures say about the one who TRUSTS in HIM:

Because he has SOWN EXTRAVAGANTLY and given to the poor,

his kindness and generous deeds will never be forgotten.

This GENEROUS GOD who SUPPLIES ABUNDANT SEED for the farmer, which becomes bread for our meals, is EVEN MORE EXTRAVAGANT toward YOU.

We sting on ourselves and try to save every single cent.

Seed is for sowing.

God created seed to sow.

First HE SUPPLIES EVERY need, PLUS MORE.

Then HE MULTIPLIES the SEED AS YOU SOW IT, so that the harvest of your generosity will grow.

You will be ABUNDANTLY ENRICHED in EVERY way AS you GIVE GENEROUSLY on EVERY OCCASION, for when we take your gifts to those in need, it causes many to give thanks to God.

ree

God will supply every of our needs.

Someone's Testimony

My husband Jack and I plant a garden in our back yard most every year.

We will often have 3-4 rows of corn, dropping a couple hundred kernels/seeds into the ground when we plant.

My cousin Terry is a farmer.

He drops hundreds of bushels of kernels/seeds into the hundreds of acres of land he farms.

Obviously, Terry’s crop is much larger than ours.

He starts out with more land to plant and plants exponentially more corn than we do.

This physical concept works in every area of our lives.

We can choose to live with a SCARCITY MINDSET or an ABUNDANCE MINDSET.

Whichever we choose determines the AMOUNT of SEED we PLANT, and thus the HARVEST we will ENJOY.

The SCARCITY mindset says to KEEP all you produce, there’s NEVER going to be ENOUGH to SHARE.

ABUNDANCE says to SHARE what you produce, there’s ALWAYS PLENTY.

We often get wrapped up in the thought that all we have is God’s.

We can even begin to think that is authoritarian and inequitable.

What we often don’t realize is

that as Christ-followers,

ALL GOD HAS IS OURS.

LUKE 15:31 EASY

“My son,” his father said, “you are always with me. ALL THE THINGS that I HAVE are YOURS.

What?!?

We are not sowing from our own produce, we are SOWING FROM GOD’S — whether we’re talking about physical seed, financial seed, or spiritual seed.

We sow from the mindset of abundance.

As followers of Jesus, we have Him, His presence, His glory in us.

HE HAS OPENED the STOREHOUSES of HEAVEN to US.

We are not bound by the limitations of our circumstances.

It’s often said that we can’t outgive God, and while it sounds like a nice, trite sound bite, it’s truth.

Our generosity with WHAT GOD HAS PROVIDED US breeds generosity in others, and blesses us in ways we can’t conceive.

We cannot outgive God because He is more extravagant towards us and He has more than enough to bless us.

There is no way we can out-give God.

Outgive means to exceed in giving.

This is the abundance mindset.

Next time you’re in the drive-thru lane, pay for the meal of the person behind you.

Sitting in a restaurant and notice a mom and a child?

Pay for their meal anonymously.

See a Christmas Angel tree? Take a couple angels and fulfill wishes for them.

Donate to your favorite listener-supported radio station.

Give to your local homeless shelter.

Find families who need help and pitch in.

See someone struggling with life and recognize that path they’re on?

Go and walk that familiar ground with them, revealing to them how God brought you through and be there to help them along.

That one-day mission trip your church is going on?

Make plans to be there and share love with those you’re serving.

The church nursery needs help? Time to step up and love.

You have the chance to lead a small group?

Start pouring in those spiritual seeds.

Take the opportunity to lead a group.

It is a joy and it’s something to learn from giving. Give your time, energy and love.

Be GENEROUS with what YOU HAVE, -

ALLOWING GOD to BLESS OTHERS WHILE BLESSING YOU.

THERE’S PLENTY, even when it doesn’t look like it, and your HARVEST will be crazy

WONDERFUL — even more than you can imagine.

GALATIANS 6:7-8 TPT

God will never be mocked!

For what you plant will always be the very thing you harvest.

The HARVEST you reap reveals the SEED that you PLANTED.

If you plant the corrupt seeds of self-life into this natural realm, you can expect a harvest of corruption.

If you PLANT the GOOD SEEDS of Spirit-life you will REAP BEAUTIFUL FRUITS that grow from the everlasting LIFE of the SPIRIT.

GALATIANS 6:9-10 TPT

And don’t allow yourselves to be weary in PLANTING GOOD SEEDS, for the SEASON of REAPING the wonderful harvest YOU’VE PLANTED is COMING!

TAKE ADVANTAGE of EVERY OPPORTUNITY to BE A BLESSING to OTHERS, especially to our brothers and sisters in the family of faith!

ree

When it comes to sowing and reaping, there is a season. It takes some time.

ZECHARIAH 8:12 EASY

‘The SEEDS and the PLANTS will GROW WELL.

The TREES will give FRUIT.

There will be WATER from the SKIES.

I will bless the few people that will return.

ree

OUR GOD IS A GOD OF ABUNDANCE!!

SCARCITY OR ABUNDANCE MINDSET?

YOUR HARVEST Depends on the One You CHOOSE.

SOW AND REAP FROM GOD'S ABUNDANCE!

ree

If our mind said we have not enough, go back and meditate God’s Word.

When we sow, harvest is coming.

When we don’t sow, there is no harvest.

All that He has is ours.

Sow for the harvest. As we sow, we will reap.

Isaac sowed during the time of famine.
